NPC LIFELINE

NPC Lifeline is a repurposed vessel concept combining wind turbines, wave-energy buoys, and solar panels with seawater desalination and onboard hospital facilities. Designed to bring renewable electricity, fresh water, and critical care to disaster-stricken communities, it envisions a single ship delivering essential infrastructure to help a city recover. Two wind turbines generate 5 MW each, complemented by 10 MW from wave-energy buoys—delivering 20 MW of combined wind and wave power, plus solar generation. One vessel. Extraordinary power to support recovery.

Wind

MOBILE FOLDING BLADE TURBINE & SOLAR

A truck-mounted power station combining NPC’s patented Folding Blade Turbine with solar panels to deliver renewable electricity wherever it’s needed. Each turbine blade set generates 130 KW. Designed for remote communities, disaster relief, and off-grid operations, this mobile system deploys without permanent installation, with permitting requirements depending on location. It offers an alternative to diesel generators in isolated areas where extending the electrical grid is impractical or prohibitively expensive.

Wave

OCEAN BUOY GRID

The patented NPC Ocean Buoy Grid combines wave-powered electricity generation with efficient, direct seawater desalination. NPC describes it as the only wave-energy conversion design offering both capabilities while producing electricity at costs competitive with conventional fossil fuels. Designed to connect to the tens of thousands of offshore wind turbines already deployed worldwide, the buoy grid uses electrical infrastructure already housed in each turbine and tower. A direct power-line connection feeds wave-generated electricity into the existing system. NPC projects this integration could increase power output by 50% to 125% compared with wind turbines alone—adding renewable electricity and fresh water without duplicating electrical infrastructure.

Water

RIVER & TIDAL FLOW

The NPC Pitre Auger Turbine (PAT), known as the “Tidal Flow Silver Bullet,” harnesses river and tidal currents without dams. Developed with internal funding and U.S. Navy research grants, the prototype generates 25–30 kW of power and has completed demonstrations in India’s Ganges River Basin through partner ICL. With licenses in place for India and Africa and international expansion underway, NPC has developed a next-generation solution designed to deliver substantially more power at a fraction of the cost. This new technology has yet to be publicly unveiled.

Mobile power

MOBILE ENERGY SYSTEMS

Designed for remote communities, disaster relief, and military bases, these self-contained units use NPC’s patented Folding Blade Turbine to generate electricity, produce hydrogen fuel, and optionally provide safe drinking water. The nine-foot turbine produced 3.5 kW, while the largest model achieved 130 kW. Developed in collaboration with AFRL and HCATT, the technology is now the subject of advanced manufacturing negotiations.

Wind

LARGE WIND TURBINE TECHNOLOGY

NPC’s cost-effective, storm-resistant turbine offers the same core attributes as its patented Folding Blade Turbine, with a key advantage: exceptional performance in low to moderate winds. Generating up to 3.5 kW, it is designed for round-the-clock operation when wind conditions allow, charging battery banks for power when needed. Two NPC turbine designs were evaluated through a three-year project funded by AFRL and HCATT, identifying applications for military installations, deployable power, disaster relief, communication towers, and commercial markets.

Water

BICYCLE WHEEL WATER TURBINE

NPC’s bicycle wheel turbine concept features a circular rim with multiple blades arranged around a central hub to harness energy from moving water. Water is approximately 832 times denser than air, offering significant potential for renewable power generation. For vessel-mounted applications, NPC envisions output well in excess of 100 MW on each side, positioning the concept for large-scale power production.

Coastal resilience

POWER-GENERATING COASTAL BARRIER

NPC’s integrated coastal barrier addresses two urgent needs: protecting New York City from rising seas and destructive storm surge while generating renewable electricity. Designed to help shield vulnerable areas such as Lower Manhattan from costly flooding, the barrier combines wave and tidal energy systems with wind turbines mounted on top. As sea levels rise, this infrastructure would serve as both a protective barrier and a power source. According to NPC’s estimates, a proposed 27-mile installation would deliver 500 MW at rated capacity—enough to power approximately 60,000 New York apartments and homes.

Wind

BUILDING-INTEGRATED WIND ENERGY

NPC has developed and extensively tested a ducted rolling wind turbine that captures airflow accelerated by a building’s structure. As wind passes over a dome, a 5 mph breeze can reach 8–10 mph at the turbines, increasing the energy available for on-site electricity generation. Designed to be inexpensive and easy to manufacture, the system delivers power generation per square foot comparable to conventional wind turbines. The rooftop concepts integrate turbines into the building’s architecture, with one design also incorporating solar panels to combine wind and solar generation in a single system.
