NPC's folding blade wind turbines are ideally suited for building rooftop installations, since they can fold out of harm’s way during extreme high winds. This also minimizes the structural requirements of the roof and simplifies the mounting and installation process. A large 50' diameter version is now being constructed as part of NPC’s contract with the Hawaii Center for Advanced Transportation Technologies (HCATT).
NPC has designed power plants to capture wind and river flow, housed in standard 40-foot ISO shipping containers that conform to international transport standards and can be delivered from factory to full deployment in less than 45 days.
Some of the largest man-made structures on earth are high-rise buildings. When wind blows on these huge objects it is forced around the sides and over the top of the structures where it is accelerated to much higher velocities. NPC's ducted turbines are specifically designed for integrated architectural deployment to capture the powerful winds that are forced around the top and sides of high-rise structures, converting building-accelerated wind energy into electricity for use on site.
NPC has assembled an impressive array of advanced, low-RPM permanent magnet generators for use in many of its technologies. Below are some examples of different generator types used by NPC.
Great ocean currents such as the Gulf Stream move constantly at 5 to 6 mph, offering the potential to generate electricity on a massive scale. Many of these currents are within close proximity to major population centers and would be of significant benefit. Currents that are far from populated areas can be used for the generation of hydrogen fuel (the up and coming non-polluting super fuel of the future). This fuel can then be transported back to land for use in turbines, for transportation, or to refuel ships at sea.
NPC's Buoy Grid Array takes full advantage of the vertical, horizontal, and oval actions of wave movement for maximum electric power generation. The arrays are also shallow draft and require only one single morning for a grouping of many individual buoys.
NPC’s Desalinization Ocean Buoys utilize the powerful up and down action of the waves to push piston water pumps that force seawater through reverse osmosis membranes to create significant volumes of pure drinking water at a very low cost.
NPC’s fully patented In-stream Auger Turbine (IAT) tidal and river flow auger turbine captures greater energy from flowing water than any other rotating hydro turbine of the same diameter, while remaining wildlife friendly and impervious to debris and ice damage.Pilot programs are to be deployed in Africa, India, and Canada in 2013.
